EarnCanyon is operated by EarnCanyon LLC. This page explains how to ask us to delete your account, what happens to your data, and what we keep. It applies to the EarnCanyon website and to the EarnCanyon app for Android (com.earncanyon.app).
How to delete your account
- Sign in to your account on earncanyon.com or in the EarnCanyon app.
- Open your profile settings and go to the Account section.
- Choose Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm and send the request.
- You will then see the date your account is scheduled to close, with a button to cancel.
If you cannot sign in
Write to [email protected] from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We answer requests of this kind within 30 days.
The 30 day wait
Deletion is scheduled 30 days after you ask for it. During that time your account works normally and a banner shows you the date.
You can cancel at any point before that date, and cancelling clears the request completely. Nothing is deleted until the date passes.
What is deleted
Your survey profile is deleted. That is the date of birth, gender and postal code you gave so that surveys could be matched to you.
Your account is closed. Signing in stops working, any withdrawal request still open is cancelled, and the account cannot be reopened.
What we keep, and why
We keep the record of your transactions, rewards and withdrawals. Financial and anti money laundering obligations require us to hold these records for five years, and we also use them to investigate fraud.
We keep the identifiers attached to those records so that they stay meaningful, and so that a closed account cannot simply be opened again. We do not use them to contact you.
Your balance
Any balance you have not withdrawn is forfeited when the deletion completes. If you still have coins, withdraw them before the date.
